Via Messages, you can send messages to faculty members and students. If you have not started any conversations with your faculty, you can start one by going to Search > Faculty, finding a faculty member (Postdoctoral Researcher/Research Staff, Faculty, or Administrative Staff), and selecting “Message.” To message a student, you can go to Search > Student and select “Message” after finding the specific student. Please note that if your educational institution's platform does not have a searchable database of students, you and faculty members will not be able to start conversations with students. When you receive a message on ForagerOne, you will also be notified via your connected email account. 

On ForagerOne, when you receive connection requests from members of your community, you can reply directly to the notification email. The message in your email reply will automatically be shared as a message in your conversation with the person on the ForagerOne platform (under Messages), and the person will also be notified via email. Any attachments will be included in the email.
