Via Messages, you can send messages to faculty members and students. If you have not started any conversations with your faculty, you can start one by going to Search > Faculty, finding a faculty member (Postdoctoral Researcher/Research Staff, Faculty, Administrative Staff), and selecting “Message”. To message a student, you can go to Search > Student, and select “Message” after finding the specific student. Please note that if your educational institution's platform does not have a searchable database for students, you and faculty members will not be able to start a conversation with students. When you receive a message on ForagerOne, you will also be notified via your connected email. 

Now on ForagerOne when you receive connection requests from your community you can reply directly to the notification email to respond to them. The message contained in your reply via email will be automatically shared as a message in your conversation with the person on the ForagerOne platform (under Messages), and the person will additionally be notified via email. However, please note that any attachments, links, fonts, and special formatting will not be transmitted.
